Sustainability is the major theme of our every day life. Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognised voluntary awards for beaches, marinas, and sustainable boating tourism operators. To guarantee the stability of ecosystem is an essential prerequisite for preserving the biodiversity and harmony of our habitat. When flags are synonimous of prosperity and environmental protection they should be proudly waved in the sky.
Roseto degli Abruzzi this year has proudly earned again the Blue Flag, together with other 12 towns of the Abruzzo coast + 2 lakes: Scanno e Villalago.
Central to the ideals of the Blue Flag program is the aim of connecting the public with their surroundings and encouraging them to learn more about their environment. Environmental awareness in fact is the most important aim of FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), a no profit organization born in Italy in 1987.
High quality waters, sustainable tourism, waste management, and promotion of natural areas are the fundamental requirements which FEE looks for; criteria are periodically published.
All over Italy, there are 236 seaside places proud to recognize the 2024 Blue Flag, 10 more than last year.
We are proud to invite you in our city to spend your holiday, you will have the occasion to discover our wonderful place. “Let’s start from those firm points that are a distinctive mark of what Roseto can offer. Let’s start again from the Blue Flag“. These words, now more important than ever, were spoken by Roseto’s first citizen.
We’ll wait for you in Roseto degli Abruzzi to give you the best of the beauty surrounding us.
