Do you think it’s time to make your holiday healthier with some fun exercise? Eurcamping is always on the front line when it comes to offering new services to its customers, having their at heart.
In this spirit, we are proud to be the starting point for the exciting 6 hours Endurance UISP Race, an event included in the “COLLINE TERAMANE IN MTB” circuit.
The competition will take place in Roseto on 26 May 2019 and it’s the first 6 hours endurance race in the province of Teramo, dedicated to mountain bike lovers.
Curious about the route?
Starting from Via Rodano, it’s a loop circuit of about 10 km and it goes through the exceptional landscapes and the fascinating glimpses of the vast Valle del Vomano, a valley which stretches along the course of the Vomano River. The route will end at the height of Piane Vomano at nearly 863 meters above sea level.
A bit of history
The picturesque valley was crossed by the ancient Via Caecilia which branched off towards Interamnia (current Teramo) and towards Hadria (current Atri). To this day, some roads of the Vomano Valley are still called “Via Salara” in memory of the ancient Roman road network.
Along the valley and at its tributary, the Mavone, there are many places of religious, natural and architectural interest: the Abbey of San Clemente al Vomano, the Tower of Montegualtieri and the Parco attrezzato of the Vomano river. The latter has been a nature conservation area of Abruzzo since 1995 and, with its expansion area of 335 hectares, it represents one of the largest reserves of this type in Abruzzo.
Our camping village is extremely proud to be the meeting place and check-in area (from 7.30 am to 8 am) for this fantastic event, with scheduled departure at 9 am and end at 3 pm. All teams will be composed of three people, both in the adults (registration fee of € 25) and the boys categories (registration fee of 15 €) from 9 to 16 years (all kids must be enrolled in at least one sports club). In addition there will be a deposit of 10 € for the microchip.
Moreover, Eurcamping will provide the participants with sanitary facilities, refreshments, medical care and helpdesk.
